For more than 115 years, the Ulverstone Fire Brigade has proudly supported and protected the local community. Today, it remains one of Tasmania’s busiest fully volunteer brigades, responding to more than 200 call outs each year. The brigade is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers who continually train and upskill to maintain the highest standards. Members train fortnightly and regularly complete additional courses in bushfire response, urban firefighting, pump operations, hazmat response, first aid, and advanced resuscitation. Ulverstone Fire Brigade continues to encourage new volunteers to get involved, learn valuable skills and make a real difference in the community.
